The GOV. Giveth

Billboard

The most recent Iraq war was just underway while I was living in the capital city of Tallahassee, Florida. One month into the conflict I decided to legally make a billboard stating my opinion about the balance of priority the government is participating in. I took all the authorized procedures in obtaining a billboard with the Lamar Ad agency. Months before placing the billboard Lamar representatives approved the image, and I was able to choose the location for it near the Florida government buildings. Yet on the day it was hung it took less than three hours for Lamar to change it's mind and replace my image with a Marines advertisement. I don't know how influential the politicians working near the billboard were on Lamar's decision, but it sure says something about wartime hysteria.
