Window Installation
In collaboration with Matthew Cox and Wreckio Ensemble
This installation was created for the Wrekio Ensemble's performance of The Ladies Aide Society Invites You to a Poverty Party to Benefit the Foundation for Ethical Art and Culture. which is described as "an exploration of questions surrounding the process of making and selling art."
The store front window was painted then etched to produce a luminescent drawing from street-view. Inside a trough of water was connected to a pump, motion sensor, and a series of tubes. When the performers crossed the sensors path it triggered the pump to release water down the glass and slowly washed away the drawing. During the 3 week installation the ensemble rehearsed their performance while at the same time eroding our installation.
