The intertwining of violence, technology, and gaming has seen its peak in recent years. With amazing realism, video games allow a person to get behind an M-16 and fight within worlds, countries, and cities they would never step foot on. Giving players the chance to obliterate the "evil" people and defend the "good" while still sitting on the couch. Although, today's technology has yet to venture into the violence created in-between good and evil, the innocent. This crude gaming machine projects the experience of being defenseless while fighter planes loom overhead. The joystick only provides the control of light and flight of the planes in one direction. Not a very entertaining or high-tech game, but I assume neither is the reality of being trapped within a war.
